Overview

The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful planning, delivery and governance of construction and refurbishment projects across Liaise Limited’s portfolio of supported living and residential services. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and compliance standards, supporting Liaise’s mission to create safe, homely and person-centred environment for adults with autism and complex learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track progress: Monitor project milestones, deadlines, and overall performance against the project plan.
  • Oversee finances: Review project costs and budgets, ensure financial covenants are met, and verify contractor invoices against actual progress.
  • Ensure compliance: Verify that work is performed according to design, contract specifications, and quality standards.
  • Risk management: Identify potential risks, conduct risk assessments, and create or maintain a risk register.
  • Quality control: Conduct quality reviews and assessments, and ensure that materials and equipment are suitable.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on project status, deviations, and potential issues for stakeholders like lenders, clients, or developers.
  • Site inspections: Conduct regular site visits to assess the work, verify progress, and identify any deficiencies.
  • Issue resolution: Act as an "early warning system" by flagging and helping to resolve problems and providing corrective measures when deviations occur.
  • Manage the procurement process to appoint contractors to undertake the projects required

  • Analyze performance metrics and report on goals and objectives.
  • Ensure scope creep is managed and the project stays within defined boundaries.
  • Assist with technical advice and due diligence reporting.
  • Attend progress meetings and provide input
